“Kevin designed a workplace that motivates our employees every day to achieve our company’s mission: redefining possibilities. By designing a space that is conducive both to collaboration and creativity, Kevin’s efforts are an essential part of our success.”

– Marty Sellers, Sellers Dorsey

kYd designed the 4,000-sf open-plan Sellers Dorsey Headquarters for a healthcare consulting firm. Consistent with the firm’s business model to collaborate with its clients, the environment features spaces that invite gathering and foster both formal and informal collaboration.

In plan, perimeter private offices and conference rooms ring a centralized common work area. Fin walls, glass partitions, and glass doors spatially orchestrate the linear space while allowing natural light to reach both public and private areas of the office.

The semi-enclosed work areas of the office core become architectural elements that divide the space while affording views of office activity. A textured glass wall in the rear conference room becomes a luminous focal point that draws the eye – and visitors – into the office while allowing natural light into the central common area. A key design feature of the common area is a beverage bar, which serves as both a gathering spot for staff interaction and a breakout space for the adjacent conference room. The multi-level bar includes under-counter appliances and refrigerator drawers.

Kevin envisioned an open, central area for our team to exchange ideas in a relaxed environment. His use of earth tones and modern furniture provide a sense of comfort that allows our team at Sellers Dorsey to think outside the box.
