2023 ASID Interior Design Awards

k YODER design was honored to win four ASID Interior Design Awards (IDAs) at the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Pennsylvania East 2023 Interior Design Awards Gala. Principal Kevin Yoder, AIA, LEED AP, and Associate Omar Zaater, Allied ASID, were joined by their spouses and collaborators at the ceremony May 12, 2023 at the Great Court in Mitten Hall at Temple University.
Birch Knoll Restoration took First Place in the Historic Preservation category and the Best of IDAs Residential Award. The project involved a whole-house renovation of a 1949 International Style residence overlooking Aronomink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
The Ayer Condominium Bath won First Place in the Residential Bath over $50K category. The project renovated the primary bath in the Art Deco Ayer Building on Philadelphia’s Washington Square.
The Lake Avenue Residence earned First Place in the Singular Space category for the home’s library/bar. The project encompassed a whole-house renovation for repeat clients Daniel Macey and Paul Savidge (who also own the Margaret Esherick House) and longtime collaborator Louise Cohen of Louise Cohen Interiors, LLC. The singular space was created to incorporate an unused exterior courtyard between the home and garage of this 1957 brick International Style home in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.
